Employee Flu Clinics

Employee flu clinics are in full swing. Appointments are filling up quickly, but immunization staff can see employees on a walk-in basis as well. Employees with Macomb County sponsored health insurance have no co-pay for the flu shot. Bring copies of your driver’s license and insurance cards to the clinic. Remaining clinics will be held in the following locations and times:

Oct. 28 - VerKuilen Building - Assembly Room B (noon – 3 p.m.)

Employees, spouses and adult dependents who are covered by Macomb County sponsored health insurance are eligible to attend. If an employee does not have insurance coverage, flu vaccine is available at a cost of $20 (cash or check). To make a flu shot appointment, e-mail healthstyles@macombgov.org or call 412-3398.

Harvest Healthier Habits – Begins Oct. 20

Healthstyles is sponsoring a six-week incentive program designed to encourage employees to do the little things every day to stay healthy or to become healthier. This contest is self reported on the Harvest Healthier Habits log sheet, which is available from your Healthstyles department representative, or can be requested by e-mailing healthstyles@macombgov.org.  Employees who complete the log and turn it in at the end of the contest are eligible to receive incentive prizes and be entered into drawings for gift cards.

Exercise and Walking Club Gift Card Winners

Each quarter, Healthstyles will be drawing random winners for gift cards just for participating and turning in their Exercise and Walking Club log sheets. For the July/August/September log sheets, the gift card winners were:

The next drawing will cover October/November/December Exercise and Walking Club log sheets. To be eligible, log sheets must include your name and department and need to be received by Maria Manning in Human Resources Labor Relations by Jan. 10, 2015.
