Healthstyles December update
This fall, the Healthstyles program coordinated four employee flu vaccine clinics with the Macomb County Health Department immunization staff in October. More than 250 employees received flu vaccines at the Administration Building, Juvenile Justice Center, VerKuilen and Martha T. Berry. The flu vaccine was free to employees, spouses and adult dependents with any Macomb County provided health insurance plan.
After the New Year, Healthstyles in partnership with the Healthy Communities Program of the Macomb County Health Department, will be sponsoring Eating Smart for a Healthy Weight and Heart for employees. This eight-week program will incorporate food tracking, educational sessions and one-on-one discussions with public health nutritionists. If you’re interested in this program, e-mail the Healthstyles committee for more information.
