Executive Mark Hackel appoints Ben Treppa as Director of Facilities and Operations

Macomb County is delighted to announce the appointment of Ben Treppa as the new Director of Facilities and Operations. Mr. Treppa, previously serving as the Deputy Director, assumes this role following the retirement of Lynn Arnott-Bryks, who dedicated an impressive 50 years to the County.

Having served as the Deputy Director for the past 10 years, Mr. Treppa possesses an intimate understanding of Macomb County's operations, culture, and strategic objectives. His appointment as the Director of Facilities and Operations is a testament to his exceptional leadership skills, extensive industry knowledge, and unwavering commitment to driving excellence.

During his tenure as the Deputy Director, Mr. Treppa played a pivotal role in implementing numerous initiatives that streamlined operations, improved efficiency, and enhanced satisfaction of County employees as well as residents utilizing Macomb County services. His deep understanding of the organization's facilities and operational landscape positions him perfectly to lead the department into a new era of success.

Lynn Arnott-Bryks, the outgoing Director, has made an indelible mark on Macomb County throughout her illustrious 50-year career. The entire County extends its deepest appreciation to Ms. Arnott-Bryks for her invaluable contributions and wishes her a fulfilling and well-deserved retirement.

As the newly appointed director, Mr. Treppa will assume responsibility for overseeing all aspects of facilities management and operational processes. He will work closely with his team to optimize efficiencies, drive strategic initiatives, and ensure the highest standards of safety, sustainability, and overall satisfaction so that Macomb County is well-positioned to continue its legacy of operational excellence, innovation, and growth.

Macomb County Facility and Operations Department is responsible for the operations and maintenance of approximately 1.7 million square feet of General Fund Buildings.  Their mission is to manage County resources responsibly, efficiently and with accountability and to provide a safe workplace environment for employees and the public utilizing all County services.
